Off with the Talon, on with the Qwik Grip! Now it is almost just like the rest of my Glocks.... Found one for a G26 I had once in the # 3 gun bag.
...
Just passed 500 rounds on my CW9, another 1,500 and it will be ready to put on my permit.
Thanks Short Bus, going to order a # 2 right now for my CW9.
Normally I run the QwikGrip (now from LoneWolf), have had one on my G19 for 20 years, but they don't make it for Kahrs.

Glocks are cheap and reliable. I ran a G21 to over 125,000 rounds. Only have 9 these days...

Yes, wheel gunners get more, but it's just the rules. You have to remember that IDPA was invented, and is owned by, one of the best IPSC shooters ever, even before USPSA, Bill Wilson.
Read about...
IDPA rules only allow 2 mags on the belt and one loaded mag in the gun. You may use a Barney mag to load, but not during the stage. True at the local level it's not an issue. They want to get you...
BUG stands for back up gun. Only 5 rounds per stage. Very few clubs run BUG matches, and if they do, it's usually only one stage.
Yes, a heavier bullet will shoot higher, and a faster light load will shoot lower. But it will not go left or right, that is mostly from grip.
Without seeing your stance, grip and sight picture it would be hard to tell. If you are right handed, your left foot should be slightly forward like a boxer. Your grip should look like my pic, and...
I bought and tried the Kahr grips and they were not really so nice at all. Talon's are great.
Plugs do help for mag changes, but they are also useful to store an extra trigger reset spring and extractor in behind the plug. The real reason for the open back strap is to attach a lanyard.
Shameless Talon Grip plug! Yea, these are great.

Agree, poor puppy.
If you want to do well in IDPA SSP, get a Glock 34. For example I can run the classifier into the low 90's with my G34 from concealment, although not required, and run my CW9 in the 130's from...
Yea, rimfire could be represented. I run a Ruger 22/45 in Steel Challenge.
I have 2 7 rounders and 1 8 rounder. I like the feel of the 7 rounders better.
I just picked up a CW9 and have run about 400 rounds thru it with no malfunctions. The trigger is quite long compared to a Glock, but it has a nice break. Mine shoots high, so I have to hold 6...
IDPA rules only allow you to have a fully loaded gun and 2 spare mags on your belt. So if you have misses, it will be tough compared to shooters running 10 round mags.
500 rounds, it's not a Glock.
Just downloaded a free IPSC shot timer, lets see if it works, next USPSA match this Saturday.
If you want to shoot IDPA for the game, then run a G34. If you want to shoot what you carry, then run your CW9 (in my case) but don't expect to smoke the guys running G34's. It's all about what you...
I consider the CW9 a sub compact. It is shorter than a SW640, and shorter that a G19, which is a compact.

I've seen guys trying to run them at local USPSA matches, and they get mixed up from the shots fired on the adjacent bays. But if it works in practice, it's way cheaper than a real shot timer, like a...
