A nice walnut grip similar to the beautiful Nill grips would be nice on a K9. I'm not sure they would replace the CT laser grips though. I'd have to think about it.

My P9 was one of the few trouble free models I owned. I liked it a lot and shot it a lot. Traded it for a similar sized Walther PPS. Nice gun but I should have kept the P9. Later bought a S9.
I've...
Black for carry. Stainless for fun. Just my opinion and preference.
FYI... Kahr also makes a hold open block for the K series.

Years ago I whittled a small...
The one time I had a "dead trigger" the cause was a broken trigger bar. The rear end sheared off. Kahr fixed it on their dime.

I'm not one to turn away from a better, easier to use sight that helps my aging eyes. My eyes aren't getting better. I'm glad sight technology is. My preference is to have the gun machined to...
I learned to drive in my dad's 1960 something Plymouth Belvidere and my brother's 1970 Datsun 240Z. My first owned car was my college graduation present, a powder blue 1974 Ford Pinto. A very...
Optics ready guns would be the next logical step. I can only hope.
Interesting provenance. Looks like a keeper.
Thanks for the endorsement.:yo:
This thread begs the question; what is the life of the recoil spring in the various models? Is there a standard or suggested round count published by Kahr? I recall from many years ago that the...
Looks like this barrel only fits polymer models.
Kahr put a dimple on the inside bottom of the slide when they went to the new sight cut. That's the easy way to tell which sights fit which gun.
I would say that a previous owner refinished this T9 as I don't think Kahr made the T9 in a black finish. What do you mean by a "date code"? The serial number??
Beautiful gun. Congrats. I think...
The pictured K9 is an early one. You can tell by the frame. Rare may not be exactly the term but nickel Kahrs are not numerous and fairly hard to find. I don't know which process was used.
Early K9s were carbon steel, not stainless, and coated in a variety of finishes. Those finishes were usually black but a few were nickel plated. These are somewhat rare. Kahr switched to stainless...
I've bought from them in the past with no trouble. They must have changed but not for the better. A shame.
The S9 get a polygonal barrel and night sights. Not much of a radical change IMHO. I wonder when or if Kahr will make a optic ready model.

Must admit that I was very surprised to see the smaller than expected gain in accuracy. Makes me wonder what the...
I've had several forms of the Thunder/Firestorm. I've only kept one model, the T-22. The Thunder Plus as I recall was acceptably accurate and reliable. My biggest complaint was that it didn't...
Here's one review I've read. 5000 rounds of mostly steel cased ammo to boot. The Turks already have a well deserved reputation for high quality firearms....
My two Caniks, a TP9sfx and a TP9 Elite SC, have impressed me greatly. They are almost HK like in their reliability, size and "feel". Both of these models sport a optic and one also has a laser...
Taking down a slide is much easier when using the "Ripley Retractor", another homemade tool used to secure the firing pin and guide and removing pressure from the back plate. I like to use a small...
1) Yes, I pulled my gun once after being shot at but didn't return fire. Pulled it a second time when leaving my store late at night and a person was hiding a few feet away. Situation reconciled...
