Agreed. We each choose where to compromise. The TP is a fine carry gun.

Unless it's just a range gun, it's never a good idea to give up capacity. I switched from a P40 to a TP9 to get the extra capacity.
Almost every one of my favorite handguns and carbines has benefitted from my Dremel work. I started working on cheap KelTec's that really needed the work and improved because of it. I wasn't too...
Silly advice when you consider how underpowered handgun rounds are and the advantages to an expanding hollow point bullet as long as it penetrates deeply enough.
The 9MM defensive expanding...
If I am committed to convenience and always want to be armed, I'd drop a NAA Black Widow in my pocket and call it good. I'm never really going to get in a gunfight, anyway, statistically. There will...
As long as you are adventurous enough to do this simple procedure, go all the way.
1000 grit is abrasive and leaves scratches, although very minor. Even then, direction of movement of the paper...
Many SD rounds do a good job with terminal performance in only two of the three critical areas: expansion, penetration, and barrier penetration. Bonded bullets do OK in all three, but any time bullet...
Since I no longer subscribe to the idea that one hit from a handgun can reliably incapacitate an attacker (or attackers) trying to kill me, I am committed to sending bursts of at least 4-6 aimed...
I have worn editions of the original Thunderwear for almost 20 years. It works great for deep concealment. A few observations:
1. Most people can conceal a gun larger than the little CM's down...
IMO, coordinating the movement of operations/switches and a trigger within centimeters of each other on a gun, in the dark, jacked up on adrenaline, is the last thing I want to do.
A handheld...
9MM velocity after penetrating 10-12" of a human torso is very unlikely to seriously harm anyone, if it hit anyone. Such "over penetration" is not a concern when choosing expanding self defense...
Hand cannon: figurative ;) or literal? .40 S&W is a hand cannon compared to a .22 or .25, but I think the OP was pretty clear about what he wanted.
Not this:

Look closely at the Beretta PX4 .40, especially the C model, constant action trigger. Very Kahr-like trigger, no safety. <6 lb tuned pull easy to do. 15 + 1 with flush mag, 17 + 1 with extended. Soft...
I own a TP9 and a P40. That's it. No other Kahrs. Just those two. Can't compare it to something I don't have.
The TP9 and Shield have similar capacities, which is why I compared them instead of...
Would you put regular gas in your Ferrari and expect the same performance as premium?
I helped my son install one of these in his Tahoe. Solid and secure. Invisible under the console cover. It would take a lot of tools and time to get into his. It's good to have it accessible rather...
Have never seen anything similar. Stuff happens and gets past inspectors. Kahr runs TP9's only rarely. They are usually tough to find. I love mine, appreciating the increased dimensions and capacity...
The robbery was over. Nobody had been injured and the bad guys had put their guns away.
Wisdom being the better part of valor I would've gone the other way and been a good witness possibly...
In checking my P40, when slowly operating the slide on an unloaded pistol with no mag, the firing pin (not the striker) does indeed protrude during rearward and forward travel until the slide is 3/4...
Over travel refers to how far the trigger moves after the shot breaks.
Kahrs have long trigger pulls, usually two stages. This is the safety. It is meant to be hard to fire accidentally.

I listened to the book on a long distance drive recently. Enjoyed it and will see the movie.
However, I just cannot get my head around the central part of the story. A herd of goats with tinkling...
Lighter trigger pull.
Since you are not timid about polishing, go after the striker firing system. Trigger pull will become smooooth.
There is a way to make it a little lighter too while retaining reliability. Can't...
Slingshot method or not, new gun or old, a slide stop/release should work easily with one thumb. It's a simple fix, as mentioned before. Remove the part, polish the mating surfaces on the stop and...
I was going to say I object to Glock's square slides, but this IS the Kahr forum. ;)
They of course have a lot going for them, and their ease of use and reliability prompt most to jump on the...
