The issue is; when carrying on the left side using a soft holster, thin/soft leather or fabric, is that you unknowingly bump into "stuff" that will activate the mag release! The cure is to use a holster that protects the mag release, with kydex being one of the better choices!

I found the cause at one of my jobs where I had to navigate around a bunch of desks, they were just the right height to bump into my pocket carried pistol. The bump was light but hit just the right spot.

I would not recommend shortening the mag release, just my not so humble opinion!

Why what? If you mean why not to shorten the Kahr mag release it be 'cause of the likelihood of rendering it near to or useless!!

As always, please feel free to do as you please, 'cause you will anyway!

Ohhh... I forgot that not everyone has talent and skill when working on guns. Sorry, man. But stick around, maybe someday you'll learn something.

Indeed, I make it a point to try to learn something from anyone that I meet or have a conversation with, so please feel free to add to my education! Of course, sometimes all I learn is what not to do!

    Now children, quit fighting.

If you don't carry a spare mag what difference does it make if you need a tool to eject the mag? Many people do not carry a spare mag and just depend on what is in the gun.

no, never had a premature ejection with my CM9 during a match, EDC, IWB,OWB, or pocket carry; PJ's IWB, Rosen OWB, 3C Tactical PC. in fact I've altered the mag release button to project 1/16" OUTWARD from the stock specs. to aid tac. reloads as the CM9 is my EDC/BUG match gun. I compete with what I carry.
