I got a little higher MV with SSA 5.56MM 70gr. TSX (APR 15 2010 lot) fired out of a Colt LWT 10" 1x7 chrome lined barrel : 3 rounds @15ft. about 70 degrees F at Sea Level made: 2574/2576/2577 FPS. With the Barnes reported threshold of 1800 FPS, the SSA 70gr. TSX loading should expand all the way out to right about 300yds. when fired out of this 10" Colt barrel.
SSA 5.56MM 70gr. TSX fired into plastic bags of water @15ft. from Colt 10" yielded consistent 0.47" to 0.49" expansion with 100% weight retention:

NICE! I can't believe how long those bullets are... extending well into the chamber of the cartridge! Pretty... and nice expansion.

I just got an order of 230-gr GDSB for my PM45 and will post pix of those along with the Duty version and Bonded Remington Golden Sabers. I'm going to be waiting for a while on my 180-gr GDSB .40 and 124-gr GDSB 9mm from Ammo to Go. Both orders placed on Dec. 19... and ATG charged me immediately... expecting shipping between 14th and 18th of January!

I'm not getting low, but I don't want to worry about SD ammo for a while! It will really suck if we lose online and mail order ammo shipping!

I'm trying to deal with the notion of no online ammo.
Buy nearly all my ammo online.
I've got 250/300 rounds each of Winchester Ranger T-Series in;
125/357 Sig, 165/40 S&W, 230/45 ACP +P.
Plus 200 Federal HST 230/45 ACP +P.

Have a mix of 500 rounds tactical/target 5.56/.223 on the way.
Mostly Winchester Ranger 69 gr HPs.

I'll likely have to swap in my 40 S&W barrels in my 357 Sig guns if that happens.
Sad now...

This thread is making me want to order some 75 gr TAP.

Update: Just ordered a bunch of 5.56 Hornady TAP 75gr. BTHP T2 Ammo.
This stuff should leave a mark.
