    Default CW45 and 45+P

Has anyone used +P in their CW45. Not a steady diet, but propper feed and function for CCW

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

I got a case of +P Gold Dots from Underwood and that's pretty stout stuff. I had several brand new 7-round mags from Ivanhoe... Kahr bubble-packed... and several magazines of that caused the top rear of the new mags to fail... split. This has been a recurring problem with some of the .45 mags and Kahr replaced those.

I don't "advocate" using +P. I always thought the 230-grain standard defense loads were plenty powerful and use the Short Barrel version of Speer's Gold Dots for all of my Kahrs... except the P380 and I've switched to Underwood's +P Gold Dots for that... 1200 fps and over 1100 fps in the P380.

The Short Barrel versions for the .40 and .45 are noticeably different with cavities that are shallower but much wider at the bottom of the cavity for better performance from the 3" to 4" shorter barrels.

No problems with +P in my CW45, but I shoot (and carry) mostly standard pressure stuff.

I shot a box of +P 185 gr Golden Sabres. For some reason, I needed to replace the recoil spring before they would function properly, but after the spring change, no problems at all. I don't know why the spring needed changed so soon, it had less than 700 rounds through it at the time.

those short barrel ammo bullets remind me of the old 200g speer "flying ashtray" - which you could incidentally seat a primer into....

Only a few Remington Golden Sabres +P. The usual fine function as with all Remington semi-auto H.P. I was mainly interested in quick follow up shots compared to non+P & the only difference was a little more roll.

Not an 'all day' shooting time with P+ I'll bet!!

All day shooting with +P would probably tear up the CW45, or any KAHR. I'd just want to see it cycled right and then for CCW reasons.

Do you get e nice BANG when it hits it target? I imagine so. Sounds like ... explosive rounds
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.
