Default My 1911G - Love at first shot(and at 600th shot)

Glad to become part of the DE1911 family...

Well, here is a photo of my DE1911G that i bought back in March. Initially had two FTF in the first 60 rounds, but hasn't missed a beat since, and at over 600 rounds now. She's a tack driver with most eight shot groups at 15 yds. in the neighborhood of two and a half inches. Just put a set of VZ Operator 2 grips and a set of Kimber night sights on it and it was a night and day transformation... Have to say she's turned into my favorite.

Very nice! I think mine is the most accurate of my small 1911 family. It's a great gun and makes me look good even on off days.

Thanks jocko! I have to say that I'm glad I chose this route over the Springfield Range Officer. I am still very impressed by the build quality of these 1911s. I have a hunting/shooting buddy who has a custom shop Springfield 1911, and after shooting my 1911G he just looked at me out of the corner of his eye, asked how much I paid, shook his head and said "wow".

A lot of bang for your buck for sure. I was amazed really.

Out shoots many that cost 2 or 3 times the price.

Bawanna, how long have you been making 1911 grips? I checked out your website, and have to say your stabilized wood grips are works of art.

Wood grips a long time. 18 years or so. Stabilized only the last couple years. Wish it wasn't so expensive so I could have it on hand like other woods. Its great stuff.
