That notch in the rail is supposed to be there

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
    --Thomas Jefferson (1764).

Gee, and I thought that all cops were overbearing Nazi pigs. Can you beat that? Thanks Tinman, I needed that story.

The full title should be, "Policeman Changes a Boy's Life Minutes Before He Dies"

    The rest of the story...

That's the kind of cops I grew up with. Good caring people. Sad that he got killed right after that.

HY*NDAI is to cars, what Caracal, Hi-Point, and Jennings is to handguns. The cars may or may not run ok, but the corporation SUCKS.

The ones i knew as a kid got out of their car and joined in a little snowball fight to integrate with kids. And yes, they threw hard! What a terrible loss and waste of a true patriot. Semper Fi, Marine!

It is sure good to see something like that. Too often the news media only goes for the bad stuff. I have to say the officers in my area are all good people. They have a tough job to do and they all do it well. I was stopped the other day while going through town. Got out my license to show but he said it wouldn't be necessary. He said he had seen my Harley around town and really liked it. If I ever decide to sell it please let him know. We shot the bull for a while and he left. This sort of thing is not uncommon here.
