Default DE 1911C Bull barrel (no bushing)

    Just an FYI.
I recently ordered a DE 1911C through Gander Mountain.
    Picked it last Friday.
I was surprised to find it did not have a barrel bushing.
I contacted MRI to see what the deal was.
Apparently they are no longer importing the 1911C with a barrel bushing.
Nothing on their website about this.
Also the manual made no mention of a bull barrel option.
The customer service rep did send me some info.
I will try to include it here.

I don't consider that a bad thing, in fact in the compact size it might be a very good thing.

    Cue sound of Head slap.

It is if you aren't expecting it or don't like needing a tool to remove the barrel from your 1911.
IMO, there's no excuse for not shipping a proper/up to date manual with the product; especially since the new DE1911U will have a bushing less barrel (which reminds me, the DE1911C is "Commander" size vice "compact").
    Regards,
    Greg

I thought the C was an officer size. Hmmm?

I agree it should have a proper manual.
