    Default Ammo for a CW9

Looking for recommendations for ammo for my CW9. Looking for range ammo and self defense ammo. Also, for the range ammo I would be interested in bulk... 1000 rounds plus.

    Thanks!

My CW9 hasn't been sensitive to ammunition so I would think any brass non-reload should be fine for the range. Mine has been fine with Remington white box 115 gr, Magtech 115 gr and PMC Bronze 115 gr.

I've run Speer Gold Dot HP 124 gr (not +P) through mine with no issues.

My CW9 eats anything, even steel cased and aluminum cased. I've yet to shoot anything that it hiccuped on. The list of FMJ brands is extensive. For JHP's, it's been fine with Gold Dots, Golden Sabers, Critical Defense, Critical Duty and one other off-brand I can't even recall.

Reloads are fine also...my wife's CW9 sent 50 of my reloads down range without issue on it's first day out.
A couple Colts, a couple Brownings, a Makarov, a Sig, a couple Rugers, a couple Kahrs, a couple Smith & Wessons, a Walther, and a couple Berettas .....Oh, and some long guns...

My CW9 I bought yesterday is used so no idea how many rounds down the pipe. I will say that it shot Federal Champion (Walmart) with no issues however it was really hit or miss with Tulammo BrassMaxx. On every mag it seemed the last round would not chamber. There were a few that didn't want to chamber no matter where they were in the mag but 9 times out of 10 the last round would not load.

I have not tried 9mm BrassMaxx in any of my other 9's but my CW9 does not like it

Does anyone have suggestions for places to get large quantities of 9mm ammo?

    Check Gunbot? http://www.gunbot.net/ammo/pistol/9mm/

I shoot that TulaBrass from Walmart through my CZ. It's real cheap and the CZ eats anything. The MK9 gets the good stuff.

FYI -- 124 and 147 grain ammo is a treat to shoot once in awhile --- when you can find it.

Oh, And I shoot Remington Golden Saber 147gr for SD --- basically because it's good and it comes 25/box instead of 20/box
