    Default cw40

    When shooting the barrel locks/stays open after each shot - used different amo, magazines, etc. Any ideas? thanks Bill

    Check the placement of your thumb and make sure you're not putting upward pressure on the slide stop when you shoot.

    I had a problem with the slide lock hitting the bullet of the round in the mag and it would cause a nosedive of the round. Another member had the slide lock activation issue with the same cause. See these posts:

    The slide lock spring may have gotten bent when you re-assembled it.
    Take the slide off and check the spring. If it is, you may be able to bend it back with a small needle nose pliers.
