Thread: hogue grip for cw45

    Default hogue grip for cw45

Hope this is the right spot for this. Has anyone used Hogue handall jr. model 18000 on their cw45? I have large hands and while the std grips feel fine, I would like the finger grip and slightly thicker feel the Hogue would give. Welcome any opinions.

I have the Hogue Jr. on my CW45 and it works great for me. It was a b!tch to get on, but the palm swells and keeping the cheese grater back strap at bay are worth the effort.

IMHO the Hogue improves the grip. Well worth the money.

Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

Might want to give a old free used inner tube a try. It can be cut to cover more grip area and built up in layers to add thickness or a palm swell if needed. IF you have a bike shop near your normal travels they probably have a pile of old use tubes. The 1.75" works well on the 9mm and 40 maybe a 2" on the 45.

The 1.75" tube worked on my CW45.

I did not know if the 1.75 would stretch that far.

A little trick to install a Houge grip is to use a little hair spray. Not only does it lubricate to help slide the grip on, it helps hold the grip in place when it dries.

Hogue Tactical on mine; no pic but it covers entire grip.

the e mail I got from Hogue said to heat the grip with a hair dryer and use windex for a lube. not far from buying one
