    Default For lovers of wood...

Well, ditched the plastic stock that came on the rifle and put some wood furniture on it. Turned out nice i think after a good sanding and a couple of coats of BLO.. Hopefully I'll get to shoot it tomorrow with the new stock to check out the accuracy.

The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Did you build the stock from scratch? If so, that's very nice work.

It's very nice even if he bought it off the rack. My guess is Boyds.

Fine looking wood my friend. I love it very much.

Boyds stock from Fulton armory. I ordered some parts, saw the stocks, and had to have one.

Boyd's makes some really fine stocks. I've finished several of them and they never disappoint.

Between the 16 inch barrel and the compensator that comes on it that sucker is loud for bystanders. Not as bad for the shooter though. Had it for about a year now and had to ditch the limp noodle stock. Couldnt see paying 75 plus for a usgi fiberglass stock when i could get nice wood for 95.

Blue steel and wood just naturally go together. Nothing looks better on a gun that oil finished walnut. A tiger stripe maple stock runs a distant second.
