    Default Family Gun Day

The whole family is going to the trap range in the morning. It will be fun. I cannot say enough about the fun and sporting aspects of shooting. Have a great day everyone!

Have fun. Hope someone helps you clean all of those shotguns. Wife and I practiced family time today by hitting the pistol range.

You seem partial to semi auto scatterguns?

I've had the hankering, wanted a Benelli once but never owned one. I got mostly pumps and my cherished Valmet over/under that has been shot a ton but still looks new. Love that scattergun and I think it loves me too.

^^^^^ we just got home. Everyone had a great time. Yeah, it seems the semi's are the ones I've held onto. Truth is I really love that Beretta Xtrap single at the top of the pic but I seem to shoot the semi's much better. They just point better for me which allows me to focus on the bird. So I'm gonna buckle down and get proficient with the Benelli (the one with the bright receiver). That gun is smooooooooth. I also have a little Weatherby/SKB 20ga OU that is real fun to shoot (not in the pic). That's one I will never let go.

    It was a good day.

My only gripe: everyone tells me shotgun fit is everything yet I cannot find a fitter anywhere around here. It's like they are secret or something. I'd like a professional to show me why that Beretta doesn't fit right. I'd like to keep that one too but not just to sit in the safe. If anyone knows of a fitter near NE Ohio I'd be appreciative.

I find this to be a decent primmer on shotgun stock fit...

Kind of technical, but covers all the basics. I do miss Trap/Skeet shooting, enjoy the good times.
I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
    "Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
