Default Kahr Magazines - What company makes them?

I don't see any other markings other than Kahr on them.

SIG used to exclusive use Mec-Gar and the magazines had a Mec-Gar marking. Although there was a time earlier when the magazines were made by another company likely in Germany. Now they use a mixture of Checkmate and Mec-Gar. The Checkmate magazines are not marked except for the SIG markings designating model and caliber.

So, what company makes the Kahr magazines and has that changed over time from when Kahr first started? The very early magazine I received with my first Kahr (only Kahr for now) simply said "Kahr" on it. The newer ones also say 9-7 which I assume is caliber and capacity and is a change that came when Kahr expanded into other models and calibers from the Original K9.

We could tell you, but then we'd have to kill you. You can't get any more secret than that. I will tell you that Wolff manufacturers the magazine springs.

I honestly don't know myself, that's how closely guarded the secret is I guess. If I found out I guess I'd have to kill myself.

I do know there are not many if any aftermarket Kahr mags out there.

Most manufacturers I know use an outside source for mags like Mec Gar etc. Again I really don't know.

Maybe Jocko know, he knows everything.

Well, perhaps they do manufacture them themselves, no supplier. I know many firearms manufacturers are moving to making their own parts, even small parts rather than rely on a second party.

I'm fairly certain the mags come from outside but I got nothing to back that up with other than that is what I've always heard, and no one has ever said otherwise.

I'd be surprised if they made them themselves. It's possible, but seems unlikely. I can't think of a single other firearms manufacturer that does.

They are made in the USA and Kahr outsources their magazines.
