Which ring height for MLR22AT and Nikon 3-9x40?

The last time I mounted a 50mm scope on a rifle, I bought both a medium and high set of rings with the anticipation of returning the set that didn't fit. It was nice to have both sets on hand since it allowed me to finish mounting the scope before making the trip back to the gun shop to return the unwanted set of rings.

The low rings worked perfectly. I thought I had followed this post up a long time ago.....but I guess not.
