I'm on my 3rd jeep now, 4th if I count the Laredo that was actually my wife's. First one was a 79 cj5, I was only in my early 20's and beat the crap out of that thing including hill climbing, mudding and even a couple jaunts out in the desert when I lived in Tucson. The 2nd was a 98 wrangler sport. I used it a lot when I did home health and came in pretty handy for some of the people I visited out in the middle of nowhere and often went were no other therapists or nurses could go. Took it off road and did some hill climbing etc but treated it pretty "gentle" compared to the cj5. I now own a 2012 wrangler. Only off roading I ever do is at the outer banks. I go out and play in the snow on the rare occasion we get it down here and the wife and I enjoy cruising the blue ridge parkway etc with the top down but now have had it 5 yrs and nary a scratch on it. Guess i'm getting soft as I age. One thing that has never changed is that you can hardly ever see another jeep and we don't wave to each other...some kind of comradery I guess. Anyway b4uqzeme welcome to the club and hope you enjoy yours as my as I have mine.

I think Chrysler (at the time they were still JUST Chrysler) Dropped the ball - the Power Wagon should have been the new Gladiator - it instead of Dodge should have been a Jeep Pick up.
My .02 on the matter if it counts.

I still miss Studebakers. Not many around now days. Loved the pickups.

I wonder how this would perform at Nurburgring?

It might be a bargain compared to that Mercedes and it looks to have some ground clearance, but the High Life man rule probably still applies

Saw this today and made me laugh. Many times I felt like doing the same thing. There's a video of the guy trying to get back in his car but I still don't know how to copy it..
