I've shot about 120 rounds thru my new T40 and I'm getting cross scratches on the rear part of the barrel which covers the ejection port. Is that normal? Has this happened to anyone else?

If you're talking a variety of scratches on the barrel hood area, completely normal. The barrel hood and slide free to rub each other, and those parts will smooth out and wear into each other with use.
Yes, the barrel hood and slide rub against one another especially in a new gun and that is perfectly normal. As long as it is light wear e.g. rubbing of the barrel hood with perhaps light scratch marks, nothing to worry about.

Those are character marks, woodguy. They show everyone that the gun isn't a safe queen.
