Beefier and completely controllable, the MK40 is just fantastic. It is essential that you utilize your favorite slip on grip. I prefer the Pachmayr, although the last one I just received for my duplicate 40 seems to be less ridged and thinner than my older ones. Could be that Pachmayr is getting cheap.
Anyway, I realize that so many prefer the 9mm, but it's 40 all the way for me.

I don't want to morph this into a 9mm vs 10mm short (40 S&W). When I first had an opportunity to shoot my first Kahr was one of my Buddies MK9. I later bought the 10mm kurz and with the extra heft, I really didn't notice the massive difference that some claim. I've run through different weights, but my baby enjoys eating 185 grain GS's. Amazing to throw basically a light weight .45 down range and see just how accurate this little wonder gun truly is.

I just wish for both my K40 & MK40, there was readily availabile .357 Sig or what I like to call the 9mm Magnum barrels.
