I've always liked SA and, far as I can tell, their 1911s are the best $$ value out there right now. Their customer service and custom shop are both very good.
There are Kydex holsters and there are Kydex holsters. My Glocks have lived in quality Blade-Tech holsters since close to forever and I like them. Like anything else....understand what you're getting and don't buy junk. That said, the Glocks are the only ones that live in Kydex...everything else is in really good leather.
