Not sure who you've been hanging out with, DavidWJ- but believe it or not, not all liberals have smoked pot, done LSD- or are anti-gun. I am a liberal- VERY pro-gun, did 20 years in the Navy and another 28 years working for the Navy...
Perhaps the "conservatives" should look at their Republican party- and see what they look like to the rest of the world.

I've been a conservative since the "Four Dead in O HI O" incident happened a few miles from my home on the weekend of my 10th birthday. But I registered as a Democrat at 18 because my family was all union rubber workers. I think that gave me an opening to experiment if you know what I mean. But I saw the light on both accts and switched to the GOP. Just sayin'.
