Good stuff.
Good post!
It's the same when the other guy has a knife... you have to respect the threat or you might be drawing as you're being fatally wounded. Staying alive is your first priority... because nothing else matters... you can't do sh!t if you're dead!

Did it twice many years ago. I'm still here.
I'm older and slower now.
Remember Muggsy. RIP Salty Dog. And the Tman
Both scenarios were drawing on a drawn gun.
The second one simply used distraction to time the draw.
Most people shot live (although not shot in the head - LOL).
I was always taught that If the bad guy(s) want to transport me?
Stand and fight to the death.
What they are likely to do to me elsewhere, with time and opportunity, is many times worse.
Every defensive situation is unique.
And we certainly need to pick the best time to strike.
But I can definitely envision situations where I would absolutely draw on a drawn gun.
I guess that you meant "want to transport me"... yeah, you have to make a judgment call based on your circumstances. A last ditch effort would be better than submitting to death without resistance... never give up!

It is possible to draw and out shoot a person with a drawn gun. Done it a few times successfully with zero failures. All it takes is proper training, intensive repititions and mindset.
