He shot the guy running away? Don't know all the details but I'm not sure that's a good castle doctrine case. Good on him though.

Hey, he was shot running away with a stolen laundry hamper, the guy had to be high or it was laundry day.

This sounds like trouble for everyone involved. Intruder, shooter kid and the parents.

But the guy said to the kid, When he was coming down the stairs, that’s when he told me he was going to kill me. Now is that justified when someone says that, and no mater where he goes he still may come back, so shooting him on the run I hope doesn’t come back at him. It a very fine line and I think justice was served

Justice was served but when the guy didn't attack and left, turned to run away the threat ended and it's a no shoot.
He may get away with it but it's a slippery road.
I agree in that they should progress the baby crier and let the boy go but we'll have to wait and see.

He is 11 years old and I'm sure the DA will give that consideration as he was young ad scarred . Dad could be in trouble for leaving a firearm available to him. Only time will tell .
