    Default The goal of all this was achieved.

    I didn't think of my first Kahr as anything but a DAO carry gun with a great history of reliability. This CW40 goes everywhere in a "Bellyband" holster and conceals well. I have once dissassembled the slide and polished whatever, but never tinkered with the lower.
    THEN, just because I can't pass up a great deal on a new gun, I bought the CT45 a month ago from Robertson Trading Post.

    KAHR sells parts;
    reasonably priced parts.
    I can screw-up a part, and buy a new one...Hmmmmmm how bout a light trigger-pull, Hmmmmmmm

    So, I tore the new gun down, polished the crap out of every mating surface, and got me a smooth 4 pound trigger DAO. Yep! 4 pounds consistently. I love this gun.
    BTW The CT45 can take an 8 round mag MEC-GAR $19 (also sold by Robertson) with a very minor modification to the base pad.

    Better way to do it than with light springs.

    I don't know if I'd carry a gun with a 4 pound trigger, but that's cool.

    This CT45 is a plinker and range blaster. My carry gun, the CW40 has a stock lower and even so, a smooth 5 pound trigger. The KAHR safety factor is the DAO/length of pull. With a half inch travel, a 4 pound trigger won't get you in trouble.

    BTW, My USPSA competition guns are all set below 3# pull.

    Oh, okay. Maybe 1 pound would be fine, too.

    Sounds like you have a keeper. I just got the CT45 and really like it. Great for the range and good for carry in cooler weather. So far I have been satisfied with Kahr firearms.

    Well done. I polished everything upper and lower on my cw45, cm9, and ct9. You're right they are super smooth and light when polished up.
    The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.
