Here are my new additions - Ruger LC9s Pro & Walther PPS M2
Here are my new additions - Ruger LC9s Pro & Walther PPS M2
I've fondled that PPS M2. That one has been calling to me. I like the PPQ M2 a bunch and liked the original PPS.
The M2 feels great in the hand and the trigger is sweet. Looking forward to hearing your range report.

Broke out the digital scale just for fun - LOL!
Sig P229 357 (12+1 125 gr Speer GDHP) 39.8 oz
Walther PPS M2 (7+1 147 gr Federal HST) 25.7 oz
Ruger LC9s Pro (7+1 147 gr Federal HST) 21.2 oz
Ruger LCP Gen 2 (6+1 90 gr Hornady XTP) 12.3 oz
On paper the PPS and LC9s are nearly identical.
But for me, the LC9s works for pocket carry and BUG (lighter/smaller Sub-Compact).
And the PPS fills more of a primary role (flat/light with full grip Compact).
I'm liking owning (and likely carrying) both

I'm not a huge fan of the Walther PPS/PPQ's etc. I guess it's a combination of looks & feel in the hand... The Ruger LC9s is nice, along with the M&P shield's, Glock 19 is not too shabby either. The G43 feels weird in my hand, hard to explain, just doesnt feel right. Then of course my Kahr K9 feels really nice in the hand
Kahr CW9 is a good single stack 9 for carry
I know Kahr is famous for single stack 9mms.
But their .380 seemed to have some issues with some folks.
So when I saw Stainless Ruger LCP gen 2s on sale for $249?
I jumped on the deal.
Was so impressed with it, when I saw the LC9s Pro on sale for $339?
I just had to try it out too.
I know it's blasphemous on a Kahr forum.
But it seems like this place is forgiving to owning other brands as well.
The ergonomics and triggers of the two Rugers just click with me.
As for the Walther PPS M2?
I've been eyeing them for a long time.
Everybody knows I've got a thing for German guns.
Actually shot a friends Classic PPS and liked it a lot.
I really need to stop browsing GrabaGun.
Saw the M2 on sale for $419 and folded like a cheap rusty lawnchair - LOL!
Next day they were sold out!
Now, still sold out and the price is rising.
My LGS said their customers are asking for the M2s and they can't get them.
Same with the gen 2 LCPs (for three months).
It's a crazy run on handguns for me.
But hell, you only live once right?
I'm going to enjoy the ride!
Funny how different grips fit folks hands. Combination of palm size and finger length is it I guess. The lcp with the hogue grip, the Sigs, kahrs, and Walthers all feel good to me. Gen 4 glocks are OK too (not so much the earlier ones.) But then I picked up the lc9s the other day and man that grip is thin. I'd have to do some serious grip mod to that one to fit me well. So that one is off my list for a minute or so. Now the ruger sr-22 fits good. Dont tell the wife but that one may be next.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

It feels crazy thin to hold.
But being just 17 oz it balances really well and shoots surprisingly well with the flush mags!
Plus it's so flat and light it carries dreamy on the back hip.
And the trigger is outstanding with live fire.
I've often found just holding a gun doesn't necessarily translate into how it feels during live fire.
This Ruger is better to shoot and carry than to just pick up and hold.
If that makes sense.
Congrats on the new pistols! I'm officially jealous of the Walther. I like German guns, and Czech guns, too.
