    That's beautiful wood. If I've studied my S&W secret decoder ring right, 586=blued, 686=stainless.

    I rented both today. A 686 6-round with 4" barrel, and the 3" GP100. Both had the same accuracy for me, and once the live ammo started flying I could not tell enough difference between the two to matter. I know, pearls before swine. I haven't shot my 4" GP in a while, but I remember it taming .357 better than either of these.

    Tomorrow I'm trying the new Pachmayr grips on the SP101, and the Hogues on the Speed Six. Maybe a new wheelie isn't where I'm headed after all...

    I watched one on gunbroker, it sold for way higher than I'd wanna pay.
