^^^^ ha. Reminds me of being a kid...out in the country...too young to drive...we used to hitchhike to get aroound. I found I could get a ride quicker if I carried a guitar case. Nobody ever asked what was inside. 😇

Our daughter is taking Guitar 2 in 11th grade and has a black Fender Stratacoustic that we picked out together and she paid for half of it. She nicknamed it "Fen" for Fender, and for the Star Wars character Finn. She said yesterday a senior in her class tried to buy it from her. She loves Fen and wouldn't sell it for any price. I told her the guy was probably hitting on her, and she got kinda quiet. Wonder why...

^^^ tell her that hanging onto Fen will be pretty cool when she's my age and can still play the guitar she played when young. I purchased most of my guitars when in my twenties. I still have one I bought at 19. I wish my dad would have paid half. I'd have twice as many!

Lucky girl...................what I would have given to have a Strat in 11th grade..................................especially black. I've got something for black guitars whether they be Fender or Gibson. Gibson makes some absolutely stunning black guitars.

Same here. Saw Dierks Bentley in Nashville a ways back. It gave me a new appreciation for today's country artists. Some of them have chops.

P.S. I should get to pick up the new purchase next Friday. I'll take a vacation day so I can play it all day... binge playing.

    Cool Police hold is over!

A buddy needed a bass player and I said: "Why not?" ...despite having never played one before . And today I picked up this Fender bass to go along with some used amps I found around town. I have to be ready to play by 9/28. Piece of cake!

Looks good to me. I don't know nothing about guitars. Looks like 4 strings on that one. How tough could it be. Yeah right!

I played accordion in my youth, should have been learning guitar. I'd probably be richer than Davy Crocket by now doing gigs and counting my money.
