That's a fine pair of rifles Colonel!

If you are of a mind to, you can get the red and green safety pegs here (about half way down the page): http://www.havlinsales.com/22rifle.htm

Good eye. Yeah I need to order some. Beyond me why most of these rifles are missing those. They must not be glued in or something, one or both are usually missing.
Finding the right missing pieces at a decent price is sometimes a good part of the fun and challenge.

I'm debating stock refinish now, the little one could use it and there's no sentimental value and no intention to sell anytime soon so I might do it. Specially if it's raining all weekend which looks likely.

Good grief, it really is brand spanking new! Sweet. And what a 50's- 60's vintage box to go with it?

Looking them over I'm quite pleased so far. As good or better than I had hoped.

Here's the 142A a fold down forend with the hard to find T Bolt. The scope is an old Weaver but clear as a bell. I planned to take it off and put the correct sights on it but the scope is so nice I'm gonna try it out first. Might just leave it.

The other is a 46, longer more target style. Has adjustable peep and rear ramp and 4 different post options up front. Adjustable trigger. I had to get this one as it's the most complete one I've ever seen. I even got the original hang tag from 46 or 47 if I don't miss my guess.

Dust cover which is usually missing is intact.

Adjust rear sight on the barrel. Very fine adjustments.

Nothing like a shiney new very old gun.

Now I'm searching for a 30/40 Krag. Boy do they get a ton for those.

    Never ends.............................................. .......

There was an issue with their domain name, so they are now at http://postimages.org . From what I've seen, images previously hosted on postimage.org were not carried over to postimages.org. There are now dead links for those unless you upload them again and edit the post they were in. I've been doing that when I notice the dead links. So far, so good with postimages.com

Nice! Nickle and shiny too! I've always liked that "Combat Magnum" moniker.
