My cat is not going to be happy when I do some comparison when I get home tonight.

I won't tell it that it was your idea.

Well, as someone here (or elsewhere) said, dogs think you are god, cats think they are god.

That's about the truest statement I've heard this week.

Jumped on this Remington priced at $499 (before $100 cash back rebate) last month. Might order a Commander size before the promotion runs out - but oddly enough the shorter gun is $55 more. The little spider on my windowsill is all excited about it too.

I really like my Remington. With a little help from Greg I put on a wide spur hammer I got from Auto Ordnance I think. Fit perfectly.

I didn't know they even had a commander out there. I'm not gonna think about that. No sir, I'm wiping that information from my tiny memory banks.

But it's perfectly ok if you get one and I hope you do.

Yep, they have the plain "GI" Commander - just the 4.25" version of the about, and the Carry Commander which has bells & whistles (beavertail, etc..
I like the plain ol' standard stuff and rarely upgrade any of the parts on my guns.

My son got the R1 Enhanced full size the same time I got the R1. It has more bells and whistles.

I too prefer the simple plain version. But I'm a sucker for a wide spur hammer for some reason. Just like stag, it gets my pulse to speed up.

Hope I don't see the GI commander anywhere local, I could get hooked.

Have been looking for the decocker only version for over a year and my LGS finally got 3 in. 2 sold while I was there (including mine)

I really like the look and feel of the smaller grips and the trigger is the smoothest I’ve ever felt on a Beretta out of the box
