Last night, I attended a little private party of bikers, had a two drinks, socialized a bit, and got in at my bed time of 9:30. Went to bed with everyone in a tizzy, biting their nails, taking their antacids, their flatulence and watery defecation abounding, the whole works of their worry. I slept soundly.
At 5:20 I woke up, leaned over, hit the switch on the big honkin' 30amp Astron power supply, then turned on the ICOM HF radio, fired up the Ameritron linear amplifier, and tuned on 40 meters. All over the place, or at least between the latino pirate radio, the good ol' boys were hootin' and hollerin'. I can't transmit any lower than 40 meters, but tuned down to the free for all that 80 meters was this morning. Barely space to listen in edgewise.
The heartbeat of America, as personified by the sound yokels on HAM radio was strong this morning, not like I've ever seen it before.

I listened to music while my wife and daughter watched in the other room. I did peek occasionally at the internet on my phone, but when they stopped giggling and chatting out there I had a feeling things weren't going their way. Trump was ahead in delegates. At about midnight I got up to pee, checked again, and Trump had the delegates. It was quiet around the breakfast table.
