I acquired this K9 a couple years back. Mostly to make grips off but kind of gave up on Kahr grips with the various frames and such but still make some now and then.
Never did shoot it if I recall correctly.
Thought about trading it off, I'm a 45 guy. But then I remember vacation this summer first round out of the 1911 kind of stung my wrist pretty good. I didn't cry or anything but it was a might uncomfortable.
I figure I'll keep shooting the 45 until I cry with every shot.
BUT the day will come when I just might have to downsize to 9, lowest I'll go for a carry gun and I won't go there easy or until I absolutely need too. So I decided I'd best keep this one.
So today I decided to give it some love and prep.
I took it all down and first thing I noticed no guide marks on the slide, I thought that was really cool, then I looked a bit and realized that no K9's have the guide marks as the slide lock pin latch up is different than the tupperware versions.
Still cool. Looks clean.
Anyhow no surprises inside the slide, striker channel was spiffy clean but of course lots of oil.
I polished the barrel while I had it out and also polished the magazines while they were apart. Threw a coat of car wax on the mags and they are spiffy.
I think I'll have to go out and shoot this one a bit. Made me feel a bit better after I had to leave an AR pistol behind at our gunshow this morning. Never had a hankering for an AR especially a pistol but this one kind of clicked.
Anyhow left it behind, no money as usual.
