    Default Range Report P40

First time to the range with my P40 today, Brought my 226 and USP along for company. The 226 and USP are also .40's. 50 rounds through the p40 no issues. Shot Remington Golden Saber 165 gr. JHP. No jams, misfires or other misbehavior on the pistols part. I put a Pachmayr Tactical Grip Glove on the pistol to add a bit of thickness to the grip. The grip is long enough for my three fingers to hold the grip. Easy pistol to shoot IMHO. Love the fit and finish on the P40. Managed to get most of 3rd magazine and beyond in the X and 10 ring. This is my first Kahr and won't be my last for sure.

A couple of comments to add the review. The trigger is OK, nothing great. Typical DAO. The slide release and sights have a couple of sharp edges on them. I can fix the slide release with a file. The P40 has more recoil than my 226 or USP and less than a couple of short barrel revolvers. I expect that shooting a .40 in a tiny gun, it did hurt my hand.. Accuracy surprised me. Field stripping is more of a chore than my other pistols. Recoil spring is stiff, that's OK because it reduces the recoil.
