Default Take one off the bucket list....

Like most of you I have a list of guns that are sort of lifetime goals. Stuff I want to own before I kick off. Some of them are too expensive or rare to be realistic. I work on it though, and have had a handful of successes. I knocked off one at the end of 2016 with the arrival of a new tax stamp: the AKS74U, or "Krinkov" as most Americans call it. Here is a picture. It started as an Arsenal SLR-104UR. My smith did the cut and crown after the stamp showed. It has very little recoil, and is a lot of fun to shoot. Hopefully when the weather warms up I can get some serious range time with it. Now if someone would just import affordable Dragunovs I could knock that one off my list too...

I was fortunate enough to catch the SLR a while back when they were not selling that well at a good price. Had to sell a couple other guns to cover it, but well worth it.

Nice. Wait till Barth sees that.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

    Cool Congratulations

    Very nice indeed!
All I can afford is a cheap imitation (SLR-106U 5.56 pistol with a brace and fake booster)
But at least I call it a Suchka

One reason I don't have one, is there are so many variations etc. Those both look very similar to me.

Maybe someday I'll just go for it and hope for the best.
