Like most of you I have a list of guns that are sort of lifetime goals. Stuff I want to own before I kick off. Some of them are too expensive or rare to be realistic. I work on it though, and have had a handful of successes. I knocked off one at the end of 2016 with the arrival of a new tax stamp: the AKS74U, or "Krinkov" as most Americans call it. Here is a picture. It started as an Arsenal SLR-104UR. My smith did the cut and crown after the stamp showed. It has very little recoil, and is a lot of fun to shoot. Hopefully when the weather warms up I can get some serious range time with it. Now if someone would just import affordable Dragunovs I could knock that one off my list too...
