    Default Just Right Carbine

I've wanted a 45 acp carbine for quite some time, almost pickup a Thompson more than a few times. Anyway, last October I purchased a JRC Marine takedown 45acp. AR15 style, 16" stainless barrel and all electro less nickel finish. Uses Glock 21 mags. The fit and finish is perfect. This thing is a blast to shoot. I've put about 2600 rounds through it, 200 factory and the remainder my handloads. Two stovepipes from the first mag the rest is perfect. The round coming out of a 16" barrel is sooo quiet some asked if it's suppressed. At 50 yards it cuts out the center of the target. Past 50 yards that big fat round starts to wander. I'm happy!

Nice report DJK11...sound like a pretty good pickup
I have a 9mm carbine, but have been wanting something in 45. Among those I've handled, Beretta's CX4 has been at the top of my list, but I've even considered picking up a Hi Point 4595.
Yours certainly sounds like a viable option. Any chance you could post some photos of it?

As shipped there's no sights and one 13 round Glock mag. The bag is JRC's sling pack. I don't usually pimp my guns but I added the EO Tech, Magpul stock & grip, Magpul irons, Magpul QD end plate, ALG trigger and Kriss 26+ mags. A drawback to the QD forend tube is the lack of a rail. My next mod is to drill and tap for a four slot UTG low profile rail.

Almost forgot to mention, JRC offers an optional 10" barrel!

I was looking at that too. I love the feel of the round fore end but a quad rail is nice.

I also wondered if the top rail was enough for flip up sights, looks like you hung some.

A quad rail would open that sight distance up considerable.

So many toys, so little time.

Beautiful carbine and nicely improved. I think those are e. nickel on aluminum for the receiver so it must be light and handle well too. Thanks for the pics.
