Walked in to a LGS this past Saturday that was having an anniversary sale. Wasn't looking for anything specific, just "window shopping". Checked out their clearance display case and spied a new P380 Black Diamond with night sights. Retail price was marked as $659.99. I asked for their clearance price and was quoted 50% of marked retail plus tax and background check fee. $355 later, I walked away with it.

    I can relate to that.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Oddly I had to smooth the innards of the 586 a bit. Most S&W's that come from the fresh from the factory need the sideplate removed, rebound slide and possibly the frame gets a light stoning, then a bit of dry lube and they are good to go. I have had a few issues with S&W's but they are all easily taken care of at home. Some say dry fire it a few thousand times but I like my way because it is faster.
The new 686 action actually is better than the PC gun and I may have nothing to do but shoot it. What a concept.

I have in the past and a Wolff ribbed full power mainspring really doesn't do much for an already smooth action. Changing rebound slide springs will lightn the pull wt. but invites light strikes. 14# seem to work well. I have all the supplies but want to break it in a bit first.
