    Smile New K9 - 1st time out

Ultrasonically cleaned and lubricated after detailed disassembly of slide. Did not disassemble frame except for removing trigger bar spring. Trigger bar had an obvious rough spot on the underside, so I polished that out. Later, I'm going to polish the whole underside of the trigger bar.

First 100 rounds were perfect, zero malfunctions of any kind. Used my own hand loads - copper plated round nose Everglades bullets with Power Pistol. My perception was that it was a very soft shooter, even compared to my 1911 9mm steel commander.

I did occasionally not let the trigger all the way out to reset...just have to get used to it.

I love how the gun just disappears in my Crossbreed IWB, and yet I still get all 3 fingers on the grip.

Welcome to the forum. I carry my K9 everyday. May be the best concealed carry gun ever!

The K9 is pretty much a masterpiece. I have had mine since 1996 and it's my absolute favorite gun. I had an extractor break on me, which is a pretty serious malfunction, but no other issues, ever.

It feels a whole lot better than my new PM9 does, that's for sure. The trigger in particular feels about 100x better on the K9.

    Pics or it didn't happen.

Welcome to the forum by the way.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

If you're addressing me, I actually did save the broken extractor all these years. It broke in the 90s, back when phone calls and letters were still a thing.
