    Default New Home Defense Pistol

I decided I needed something more potent than a PM9 for home defense, so I just picked up this new P220 Carry Equinox. The Carry model has a 3.9"barrel rather than a 4.4" barrel, making it also a candidate for...carry. This is one of the rare unicorns still on the California roster that does NOT contain any of the usual California foolishness, such as loaded chamber indicator, magazine disconnect, or the manual of arms printed in white block letters on the slide.

That's a fine looking gun. And everybody loves a unicorn.

And it's so nice to see a post about a 45. Been on a 380 in the pocket binge of late.

    Cool Sig is all right

Have a classic, folded steel slide, factory two tone (Nickel Plated) P220 45.
It's easily one of my most reliable and accurate handguns.
And I've got some goodies - LOL

    Enjoy your new Sig

I concur, but my last two purchases have been Remington R1 .45s.
Them's purdy grips the OP upgraded to.

Great purchase. As I age, I am slowly eliminating my center fire semi auto's with the exception of my W. German P226, M11A1, and of course my incredibly easy to shoot and accurate PM9 which will never go on the block.
Most all Sigs seem to be top line firearms that are east to shoot accurately, especially for new shooters.
