    Default P32 touch up

My P32 gets carried almost everyday; usually in a kydex holster, but it sees some pocket time as well. I'm pretty good about keeping it lubed, but it does develop some surface rust every so often. This most often cleans up with some oil and steel wool. I'll usually follow that with some Oxpho-Blue. It doesn't look real bad, but the wear and tear does show some. I decided to give it a quick make over this morning, so I striped the slide down, sand blasted it, followed by parkerizing and high temp paint. The parkerizing was pretty quick, I just heated the solution in a microwave. I baked the paint for about 1.5 hours and I'll see how it holds up. I didn't put it on too heavy, but I did this(parkerizing/paint)on my Glock 27's slide stop some years back and that still looks pretty good.
Anyway, here are a couple of shots of it:

Looks like a fine job, and in a short time frame. I have to admit, I was a bit surprised that out of all the firearms you own(not that I have an exact count) this is what you carry daily

I suspect it might be riding along with something else. Just a guess.

Out and about, it is mostly a backup, but I do carry it solo when running or bicycling. It also sees a lot of solo carry around the house, working in the yard or under the vehicles. My wife bought it for me about tens years ago. It has been reliable from round one. I lost interest in round count at about the 2000 mark, but it's only had one instance when it failed to fire and that was because I hadn't chambered a round. That was a bit disconcerting at the time. The hammer spring broke a few months ago, but that was while I was cleaning it. By now, I can shoot it well and at a fairly brisk pace. I'll grant it's not the most powerful piece, but it's always there, I trust it, and can hit with it. YMMV.

Yep, about the only pistol that will not sag my dress wool pants when pocket carry. Switched from hardball to the Lehigh fluted copper bullets. Feeds 100%.

As a former big fan of KT hardware (7 different models), the only one left here is the wife's P32. She won't give it up and I really want another if it could be as good as the one I bought for her about 10+ years ago. It's never experience a case of "rim lock" but it's mostly been carefully loaded with a couple of rounds of jhp's on top of the rest hardballs. The 32 acp ain't the best self defense handgun, especially out of the short barreled P32, but it's better than a 25 acp ... or a sharp stick.

    Nice.
Mine was an early 1st Gen P32 with the hard chrome slide. Great little shooter, but it was traded off towards my CW45. Kinda miss the little bitty thing, and my LCP doesn't quite have the personality of the KT.

    Looks good there Greg.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Nice job. I'm going to look into the DIY parkerizing myself.
