Doh! Those are NOT Trijicons night sights on my MK9

So after being pleased with the relamping of my K40, I decided to get the same done by Trijicon with my old MK9 Elite98. So, I dutifully fill out the form, package up the slide, send it out insured, get a notification Trijicon received it, then a week later a notice it was being sent back, opened the package excitedly...only to find out no work was done because "The sights on the slide are a NTP. TRIJICON has nothing to fit this slide". Needless to say I am perplexed. I was sure the very faded lettering said TRJ (for Trijicon), but then do some online research on nights sights for MK9s, only to find out the complete lettering was originally TRU DOT...made by Meprolight.

Well, there's no fool like an old fool.

Big downside is that Meprolight does not relamp.

My wife tells me to keep up with my reading glasses...

Now I need to see if one of my local LGS will replace the sights, as apparently Meprolights can't be relamped due to the way they are made.
