Default Front Sight Options For CW9?

As some of you may know from my other thread, my front sight disappeared on my first range visit with my brand new CW9. Kahr is sending me a new replacement but I'm thinking of replacing it with a metal sight that won't fly off!

I've researched front sights for the CW9 and it looks like there are only two choices, The Dawson Precision fiber optic sight for $39.00 or the Trijicon Bright & Tough for $50.00.

Our wonderful moderator here Greg explained the difference between the two in my other thread but I like the screw attachment of the Trijicon and it looks more compact and more like the stock sight that I shot pretty well with at the range even though I only got to shoot two magazines.

What are you CW9 owner's preferences and why?

I have a complete set of Trijicons on my CW9 (also the CW45) and I've been pleased with them. Both guns shoot to point of aim (just over the front sight ) at ten yards. They are pretty durable as well...no problems after 6 years with them on the CW9 and 7 years on the CW45.

    CW45 (right after installation):

When I had a CM9, I went with just a Trijicon front sight. It also shot to point of aim at 10 yds.

If you do the install yourself, please take a look at the following:
