    Default CM45 Slide release difficulties

I am having trouble with the slide release on my new CM45. It literally takes both thumbs pushing down on the release to get it move. Looking for advice.

Are you releasing the slide with the magazine out? It's designed so that it's very difficult to release with no magazine.

Should be much easier with a magazine with a round in it.

Have tried it with empty magazine, but not with round(s) in it. Thanks for the info.

When the gun is empty I usually tug the slide a bit when I hit the release. Always have.
Kind of like slamming the back screen door at grandma's house when I was a kid. She didn't like that much and let me know from time to time. Just don't like slamming things that don't need to be slammed.
