Congrats, Now you need to get more mags, a holster, maybe better sights, stock up on .45ACP, maybe new grips.........The saga begins.

I'm old school with my classic P220s.
And mostly run the older 7 round mags.
Do have four OEM extended 10 rounders.
Enjoy your new to you Sig Sauer!
Oh, BTW don't think there was +P 45 ammo back then.
When I contacted Sig Sauer was told the folded steel slide P220s are not +P rated.
So stick with standard pressure stuff.
Let see -have a KAHR CW45 so hundreds of .45 mix of std and +p
Checked for +p rating it DOES have a "Nitro" proof stamp, while that is not technically +P rating, its better than day old bread.
The rear sight is dovetailed in to the slide, the front sight is part of the milling of the slide - so unless I want it milled off by a gunsmith, I'm stuck with what Mama gave it.
(I think I've linked the picture correctly(P.S. NOT my photo, but what I do have))
Grips, already planning on replacing the 80's vintage plastic with some Hogue wood grips (Bawanna you make P220 wood grips??)
Mags, 7 round only as it is a European heel release mag not American button release like we all know and are use to.
Just about anything marked W.German and Sig. is worth more than $350. That's only fifteen cups of Starbucks coffee. Your cost will increase when you add ten spare mags.

Great find. Buy it. Have a p245 and won't get rid of it.
Going to try my pictures now... wish me luck:

Unfortunately no, not yet. I've had request but they are way complicated inside and out. Maybe some day.
That's beautiful, I love the look and doubt I would change a thing. It has the look of a guy that knows what he's doing and has been there so to speak.
Obviously wouldn't work for me since I'm clueless and don't get out much but the look is there just the same.
Enjoy. And I shall once again ponder Sig grips....................

Ok man, thats awesome and that holster wear is just character on such a fine firearm.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Looks just like my Browning double action 45 that's marked Sig Action or some such. I'm not at home so I can't check it. That one lives in my nightstand.
Yes, The BDA were sold from 1977 to 1980 - In 1983 Browning was preparing a gun for submission to the USA XM-9 handgun trials. They called this model the Browning Hi-power
The Browning High Powwer / BDA 9mm was modified to .45 acp and named the Model P220.
On the right side of the slide is marked "Sig-Sauer System Made in W. Germany." On the left side of the slide is "Browning Arms Co. Morgan Utah & Montreal, P.Q." On the Breech block right side is marked the caliber the barrel is chambered in. The proof markings are on the under side of the slide which is visible only when the slide is in battery. The serial number is found on the slide, the frame and the barrel.
Mine has the importer marking of Interarms Virginia
