So it dates between 156-xxx is 1981 and 158-xxx is 1982
Gave my blue 1975 Service Six to a son 25 years ago, so this .357 NV has moved into second place as a favorite wheel gun currently owned:

But my favorite wheel gun is this Single Six .22lr on the painted widow sill. It is the first gun I ever bought myself - 1959. Wore all the finish off the aluminum grip frame after almost 7 decades shootin' it..

That's the first gun I ever bought too although a few years later. Still have it too. Have the magnum cylinder. Fun gun.
