    Default Shooting vacations

Here in Michigan I'm fed up with winter. Getting older, arthritis getting worse so I'm getting even more grumpy than usual. Retirement in the next couple years and just may sell everything , except the dog Jack Bauer, purchase a motor home and travel. If I find a warm place to hang the shingle, so be it.

I' would like to vacation "out west" and do shooting and scope out areas to visit and possibly settle. So the question for you out west people is where to take a shooting vacation and check out areas to live?

Shooting schools and middle class areas are good.

Seeing you are a northern guy....if you can still deal with winters....I looked at Kalispell Montana a couple of years ago. It is at the gateway to Glacier Nat. Park and is very gun friendly. The winters are better than Minnesota [then again most places probably are :-]. Cabela's Store there low population and even some gun manufactures such as Mech Tech Arms. Great place for firearms.

Check out the NRA's Whittington Center near Raton, New Mexico. they do have a full hookup 175 space RV campground:
