I've bought a few on line but only cause they were old or unique etc. Not something a local dealer would have or could order. They do occasionally have something that appeals of course.

I just don't visit them all that much these days. I usually email them and ask about something or sometimes they email me when they think they have something that will blow my dress up.

My on-line purchases have been driven mostly by selection/availability. I've used Davidson's for years...their model is order, sell gun to dealer (who's set their price), dealer sells to you. I've more recently been using Bud's....order, sell to you, transfer through dealer. While I prefer the dealer getting their own set profit model, the end cost difference to me because of additional, state sales taxes (8.1% where I live) is significant/a consideration.

When all the big box stores cave in like Dick’s and Wallmart... And when the govmt makes online sales illegal... I pray there are some local gun stores still around. Just sayin’.

This decision comes as no surprise..........

That policy probably comes from the incident that happened in the Castleton Mall in Indianapolis. A man came to look at a really nice over and under shotgun, spoke at length with the salesman behind the counter and promised to return with cash. A couple hours later, he returned, asked to see the shotgun one more time and they obliged. He then turned away from the counter and opened the breech as if to sight down the bore. From his pocket came a shell that he inserted into the chamber, put the muzzle under his chin and boom.

Ive never had a desire to do much shopping at a store called wieners, but they are the only local store that carries the vintage Adidas that I like. I'm going to have to find them online. The sporting goods market was destroyed in Indiana when they bought out Gallian's...where I bought my 1st pistol (Walther P99 .40S&W.)
