Same here. Never spent a dime at Dickies. Academy = soccer moms. Dickies = golfers who dress funny. Bass Pro all the way.

I have not visited Dick's Sporting Goods for years, and after their latest stunt I will never darken their doorway ever.

Have to remember the big outfits (I know nothing about Dicks, don't think we have them around here) are corporations, so everything they do comes from some big high rise corporate office. The folks at the stores have very little input on what they do or how the do it.

High rise corporate offices are generally invested with "Lawyers" and Lefties. Rules, policies, and pain in the backside is what they do.

It's all about covering the backside.

I agree with support your local shops whenever possible as long as they don't try to get rich on every sale.

I think I'm going to follow lesbians and boycott Dick's.

As a lad I visited a gentlemen's club and was so enamored with my lapdancer that I proposed...several times...and rebuffed each time. You can imagine my relief when I saw her leave the club with another young lady...

I've never been in a Dick's store even, though we do have them here. And the only two firearms I've ever purchased "Big Box" was a nice, used, classic .22 Marlin lever action I stumbled across at our local Cabella's a couple years back and used Charter Arms pathfinder I happened upon in a Sears circa 1970. All the rest have been LGS, gun show (private and dealers), private, and lately Bud's/Davidson's internet delivered through LGS. Interesting, now that I think about it

^^^ I haven’t done the internet thing yet. But I’m not completely against it. I’d still rather buy local. I did buy a .22 at Dick’s once. They wouldn’t even let me touch it inside the store...escorted me through the check-out and out the door. I got the feeling then they were not too happy about selling firearms. This decision comes as no surprise..........
