Pm45 issue?

So I took my pm45 to the range tonight and all went well. Shoot great and functioned 100%. I get home to and saw a small pin protruding from the bottom of the slide stop lever. I tried to pull it out all the way to see if it would fall out. It stopped before coming out all the way like something is holding it in place. I pushed it back in. I don't want to loose it when I take out the slide stop for field stripping. Is this a problem? The forum here won't let me upload attachments. It is the small pin in the bottom of the slide stop. Is there anything I can do to keep it from coming out again? Thanks.

The slide stop on "P" series guns is a three piece affair: a cross pin, lever, and that small pin which holds the lever on the cross pin.
If you can get the small pin to come out again, put some Loctite 638 on it and push it back in place to cure (24 hours). As an alternative to that, tap the shank of the pin so that it a little out of round then tap it back in place.

If it won't come out again, I'd put some Loctite 290 on it. This is designed to wick into already assembled components. It also needs to cure for 24 hrs.

If you still have concerns about it:
a) Contact Kahr about a replacement.
B) The one piece stop for the CM/CW 45 will work just fine in your PM45.

Gb6491 thank you for the reply. Is loctite 638 the blue one? Or I misread your post the loctite 290 is what I want to use if I can't get it out again correct?

I do love this gun by the way ran great. Shot low and left but I'm sure that's me as I haven't owned or shot a kahr in about 6 years.

Loctite 638 and Loctite 290 are green.
Loctite 638 is a retaining compound.
Loctite 290 is a thread locker that will wick into already assembled stuff. I have used it with great success to lock loose 1911 ejectors in place by wicking it into the holes the ejector posts fit into. That is what I would try if I couldn't get the pin out.

Since there's not reason to really take that pin out, couldn't a person peen the ends. Set it on a vise or piece of steel and take a punch and smack it.
Might be too hard for that to work and it is pretty small.

Excellent point Bawanna, I think it might be possible to stake that pin in place.
