Statement from R. Lee Ermey's long time manager, Bill Rogin:
It is with deep sadness that I regret to inform you all that R. Lee Ermey ("The Gunny") passed away this morning from complications of pneumonia. He will be greatly missed by all of us. It is a terrible loss that nobody was prepared for. He has meant so much to so many people. And, it is extremely difficult to truly quantify all of the great things this man has selflessly done for, and on behalf of, our many men and...

Sad news. He was a real character and I always liked watching him.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

One of my favorite characters... even if he worked for Glock.

RIP Gunny, you were a good one.

A good man, a life well lived. We will miss him.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

The convict and I really enjoyed his work.
I wonder if He ever cleaned his Glock?????? To the best of our memories He had 30,000 rounds through the gun and had NOT cleaned the gun. He told other Folks to clean there guns but He thought that running the gun extremely dirty PROVED it's reliability.

What a character, they broke the mold with him....He will be missed....In the movie "Full Metal Jacket" Director Stanley Kubrick hired Gunny to be a technical advisor to teach the actor hired for the part how to bark like a real drill instructor so Gunny started spouting off all kinds of insults and when he got to "I bet you're the kind of guy who would f*** a person in the a** and not even have the common courtesy to give him a reach around".....Kubrick fell out laughing and hired him for the part on the spot....Nobody could have done it better!.......RIP Marine.....

    What's a reach around?
In Memory of Paul "Dietrich" Stines.
Dad: Say something nice to your cousin Shirley
Dietrich: For a fat girl you sure don't sweat much.
    Cue sound of Head slap.

    RIP Muggsy & TMan
