Default Newbie with a CW9 in the Calif 10 day wait

Hi all! I am almost a first time KAHR owner. Chose the CW9. Will pick it up Wed after the Calif 10 day wait. Can't wait to get some trigger time on her. I'm here to learn about this platform.

As for me, I'm old and have been shooting for a long time. Retired from career and now plying my retirement job. I am a firearms instructor and in that capacity, work mostly with the CCW Permit training end of the business. Mostly carry a S&W 9mm Shield but if I'm going into Los Angeles County, I carry a Colt Defender in .45ACP. It can be a little more dicey there.

Thanks for allowing me into the family!

Glad you found us "Son". LA County is a good place to stay away from I imagine.

Welcome to the forums! I spent some good years in Orange County (mostly Tustin, Anaheim, and MCAS El Toro).
    Regards,

I miss the smell of JP5 and the sounds of USMC Aviation. It's the sound of FREEDOM!

Fortunately, I live near the old Los Alamitos NAS or whatever they call it these days. Good smells and sounds there!

wcmaas, sounds like you'll be a good fit!
It's tough to love guns and live in CA…..Bless you.

So, I take it you were in the Marines, or am I mistaken?
