    Default Grips

I'd venture to guess many 1911 owners have a few (or more) sets of grips stashed away. I certainly do and I'm inclined to add to that stash. I recently picked up another set of grips and before a set goes to the stash I needed to do some swapping about of sets already on some guns.
I'll be donig the deed with these two:

I'm feeling pretty good with their new look:

Oh yeah. That worked well. I just took the fake stag (kind of cheesy) off my Cbob and hung some Zebrawood on it.

Like to get some real stag like you got right there. I do like thin on a 1911 and that makes it a bit challenging. One reason for the fake stag was thin.

Those Marine emblem grips do look mighty fine on both guns, no doubt on that.

They did improve the 1911 A1 a bunch. And that Colt which looked great with the Marine grips, looks awesome with the stag, but of course everything looks awesome with stag or bone or antler.

I love 'em both! I put the fake stag on a few in the past (all I could afford) and WOW! Man they sure do make a 1911. I like the different color tone on. your controls vs. the frame too. Beautiful Colt you've got there! (Not that I'd kick the Springer out of bed either).
